HITT was founded in 1997, after the guidance of Mike Froehlich ‘97 was able to help the Haverford student body acquire $10,000 in technical theater equipement.  Since then, HITT has been the technical backbone of student theater and music at Haverford College.  It has been growing each year in size and providing more and more possibilities for groups requesting technical theater services.  In the past HITT has been the technical directors for concerts that have included Violent Femmes, They Might Be Giants, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Morphine, Bim Skalla Bim, Rockwell Church and various other groups.  In addition to supporting musical groups, HITT has assisted many Haverford student theater pieces in the past 5 years. 

While there are many members of HITT who have been doing technical theater for many years, we encourage people who are interested to join.  The scope of technical theater runs the gamut of disciplines that include set design, set painting, construction, carpentry, spot light operation, lighting design, costume design, stage managing, makeup artistry and pyrotechnics.

HITT would like to thank all those people who have helped us and supported our efforts which include Marilyn George, Zac First, Lou Baine, Ed Wright, Jesse Ehrenfeld, Student Council and Hiroshi Iwasaki.  HITT looks forward to doing many more shows this coming year.  If you have any questions or comments please email us
