HUNGER AUCTION & OXFAM FAST
The Hunger Auction and the Oxfam Fast are two annual events aimed at fighting hunger around the world. Both events take place on campus, which provides a convenient and easy way for students to take part in this fight. For the Hunger Auction, Haverford faculty, staff, and students donate meals for the whole community to bid on, with all the profits going to the Hunger Project. This year's Hunger Auction will be held in the dining center on Thursday, November 20. For more information, contact Angelina Conti.
Haverford students can also fight world hunger by donating their DC dinners to Oxfam's Fast for a World Harvest on Friday, November 21. For each students who skips dinner that night, the DC donates a portion of the cost of their dinner to Oxfam, an international organization dedicated to combating hunger, poverty, and injustice worldwide. For more information, contact Karenina Wolff.
